Border Mission Ministry

     Border Missions . . .

Texas Baptist Border Missions is an umbrella organization through the B.G.C.T. which assists in coordinating the work of the churches in missions enterprises along both sides of the Texas-Mexico border.
Their purpose is to reach people for Christ, start churches, improve the health of existing churches, meet human needs, equip the laity, and expand theological education. First Baptist has been involved in Border Missions since 1970, when we began work in Miguel Aleman, Mexico--a work that continued for 30 years! We have also worked in other locations on both sides of the border and for the past six years have partnered with a church in Matamoros. In addition, for several years we have assisted an orphanage on the border in Camargo, Mexico.
