Group Builds Chapel in
Dominican Republic
March, 2006
Several families from First Baptist Church went
to the Dominican Republic on a short-term mission trip in March,
2006. This group was able to build a "chapel" in a remote, poor
village for an established church that had no building in which
to meet. The trip was hosted by TIME Ministries. TIME Ministries
specializes in leading short-term groups to the mission field
where they help nationals build local churches through
evangelism, construction, and discipleship. It is their belief
that at this point in history, every person in an evangelical
church in North America can go on a mission trip at least once
in his or her life. FBC member, Doretta Brown and her late
husband, Zeral, founded TIME ministries in 1968 (see
www.timeministries.org).
Another trip is being planned for 2007. |

We saw God at work,
answering many prayers that went before us.
