On Saturday, March 8,
2008, a group of intrepid souls gathered before daylight to begin a
day-long medical mission journey to Edinburg. The medical clinic was
held in a church in an Edinburg colonia.
Participating in the trip were a doctor, several
nurses, and others who served as needed in various
capacities. At the clinic, literature was
distributed, and health screenings and counseling were given. In
addition, all persons who wished to see a doctor were
given the opportunity to do so. The trip was
sponsored by the Texas/Mexico missions group of First Baptist. |
